MHCET Law Entrance Exam Result 2022 - Complete details

Maharashtra state's Directorate of Higher Education conducts the MH CET Law entrance examination. It is a state-level Common Entrance Test conducted across Maharashtra for admission to the various private and Government law institutes. The entrance exam is held for admission to both the five-year and three-year courses. It is expected that the MHCET Law Entrance Exam Result for the three-year course will be declared on 28th June 2022, and the entrance examination result for the five-year course will be declared on 7th May 2022. After the result is declared, qualified candidates will be nominated for the counselling stage and then for admission to the institutes in Maharashtra.

MHCET Law Entrance Exam Result

For the 5-Year Law Course:

The MHCET Law Entrance Exam Result for the 5-year law course is expected to be released on 7th May 2022. The Board will also issue a merit list. The result and merit list will be made available on the Examination Board's official website.

For the 3-Year Law course:

The MHCET Law Entrance Exam Result for the 3-year law course is expected to be released on 28th June 2022. A Merit List will be released based on the marks scored by the various applicants in the entrance exam. The validity period of the MHCET Law entrance exam result is one year.

Important: 

  • The result will be available on the official website of the Board.
  • The Board will issue the result in the form of a scorecard. No separate result cards will be issued.
  • Candidates who clear the examination will be called for the counseling round.

MHCET Law Entrance Exam Result- Tie-Breaking Method

When a situation arises where two or more candidates secure exact marks, the Board will place them on the merit list based on the following criteria:

Tiebreaker for 3 Year LLB Course

  • A candidate with a higher percentile in the Qualifying Examination (Graduation degree / Post-Graduation Degree) gets preference to a higher rank.
  • A candidate with a higher aggregate of marks in 10 2 (HSC or equivalent examination) gets the higher rank on the merit list.

For 5 Year LLB Integrated Course

  • A higher percentage in the qualifying examination (HSC or equivalent examination) ranks higher in the merit list.
  • A higher percentage of marks for the First Language at the level of the HSC examination or examination that is equivalent gets preference.
  • A higher percentage of marks in the SSC exam or an equivalent examination.
  • A higher mark in the English exam at the level of the SSC examination or an examination that is equivalent gets preference.

MHCET Law Entrance Examination Merit List

The MHCET law entrance examination Merit List is issued by the examination board on its official website. It is available online only in the online mode. There is no other mode of informing the candidates about whom all have made it to the Merit List and what is their rank. 

The Merit List for the MHCET law entrance examination will be announced after the examination process is complete and the result of the entrance examination has been announced. Based on the candidates' performance in the entrance examination, the candidates will be nominated by the Board for the next stage in the process of admission to MHCET law. 

All candidates who the Board nominates will move to the next stage of admission, which is the Counselling stage. Besides other key details, the MHCET law Merit List provides the names of those candidates who have been nominated for the next stage of the admission process.
