RBI Grade B Apply Online

RBI Grade B Apply Online Dates will be released soon for the 2024 cycle. The detailed notification is expected to be released on the official website of RBI in March/April. The candidates will be able to fill out the RBI Grade B Application Form online. The RBI Grade B Apply Online process is expected to start on the day the detailed notification is released. RBI Grade B Apply Online Process 2024

The aspirants must be confused on how to fill out the application forms so we have come up with the detailed RBI Grade B Apply Online Process 2024.

A. Pre-requisites for Applying Online 

Before applying online, candidates should:

(i) Scan the photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm), signature, left thumb impression, and a hand-written declaration (text given below) ensuring that all these scanned documents adhere to the required specifications as given below. 

(ii) Signatures in CAPITAL LETTERS are not acceptable. 

(iii) The left thumb impression must be scanned. (If a candidate does not have a left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb for applying.)

(iv) The text for the hand-written declaration is as follows – "I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required." 

(v) The above-mentioned hand-written declaration has to be in the candidate's handwriting and in English only. The application will be considered invalid if it is written by someone else. (In the case of Visually Impaired candidates who cannot write may get the text of the declaration typed and put their left-hand thumb impression below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications.) 

(vi) Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges.

(vii) Have a valid personal email ID and mobile number which must remain active till the completion of this recruitment process. Bank may send intimation to download call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. E-mail ID must remain the same during the entire process of recruitment. 

 

B. Procedure for Applying Online

Candidates first need to register themselves if they are new users. The direct link to apply online will be updated in this blog as and when active. For registration, the candidates just need to enter some basic details such as name, dob, parent's name, etc. After registering, the candidates will get the user ID & Password which will be used for the complete recruitment cycle.

The candidates will have to enter a few more details, and upload the photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and written declaration after logging in with the registered User ID & Password. After that, candidates need to pay the application fee and click on Submit. Also, candidates must download their application forms.

C. Mode of Payment for Application Fee/Intimation Charges

Candidates have to make the payment of requisite fee/intimation charges through the online mode only. Check out the below table to know the RBI Grade B Application Fee. Also, note that this is expected for 2024.

D. Guidelines for Scanning & Uploading the Photograph & Signature

Before applying online, a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph and signature as per the specifications given below. 

(i) Photograph Image: (4.5cm × 3.5cm)

  • The photograph must be a recent passport-style color picture.
  • Make sure that the picture is in color, taken against a light-colored, preferably white background.
  • Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
  • The size of the file should be between 20kb–50 kb
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb.

(ii) Signature, Left Thumb (LT) impression, and Handwriting declaration Image

  • The applicant has to sign on white paper with a Black Ink pen.
  • The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on white paper with black or blue ink.
  • The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on white paper with black ink.
  • The signature of the left thumb impression and the hand-written declaration should be of the applicant and not of any other person.
  • The signature will be used to put on the Call Letter and wherever necessary.
  • If the Applicant's signature on the attendance sheet or Call letter, signed at the time of the examination does not match the signature uploaded, the Applicant will be disqualified.
  • Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
  • The size of the file should be between 10 kb – 20 kb for signature and left thumb impression.
  • For handwritten declaration, the size of the file should be 20 kb – 50 kb.
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20kb or 50 kb (for handwritten declaration).
  • Signature / Handwritten declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.
  • The image file should be in JPG or JPEG format. File Size: 50 kb (photograph and hand-written declaration) & 20 kb (signature and left thumb impression.

Q. What is the selection procedure followed for RBI Grade B exam?

A. The RBI Grade B exam is conducted in three stages: Phase I (Prelims), Phase 2 (Mains), and the Interview round.

Q. What is the minimum qualification required for RBI Grade B? +

A. You will need a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor's degree OR a minimum of 55% percentage in your Post Graduation if you are a postgraduate (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants).

Q. Will there be RBI Grade B exam in 2024? +

A. Yes, the RBI Grade B exam will be conducted in 2024.

Q. How many times can I attempt RBI Grade B exam? +

A. If you are a general category candidate, you have 6 attempts, whereas there is no bar on the number of attempts for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates. By 6 attempts, it means you should have taken the RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam 6 times. If you have already taken the RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam 6 times, then you are not eligible to apply.

Q. Is there any negative marking in RBI Grade B exam? +

A. Yes, there is negative marking in Phase 1 of the RBI Grade B exam. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer in RBI Grade B Phase 1.

Q. What is the Application Fee for RBI Grade B 2024 Exam? +

Expected Application fee for the RBI Grade B is as follows:
For GEN/OBC/EWSs - Rs 850 + 18% GST
For SC/ST/PwBD - Rs 100 + 18% GST
For RBI Staff - Nil.
There will be no application fee for the RBI staff.
